//Marteria – „Zum Glück in die Zukunft II“ – 2014
This album is awesome. It’s the first one that I heart when I came to live in Germany. The German Rapper tells us his view about what I will call the “30-years old crisis”, or the bridge between “young adult” and “responsible”. The first song “Kids” is about the difference between people who will have the wish to build a family quickly, to start to work fast and accept a routine, and the ones who will maybe longer study or take advantage of a lighter single-life. “OMG!” deals with the meaning of life and about the questions you have to ask yourself in your life professionally or personally. “Die Nacht ist mit mir” approaches depression, “Alt & Verstaubt” a difficult break-up, “Eintagsliebe” the topic “one-night-stand”… I’m listening to this album like a friend confiding his problems and doubts.
At the end, we really have the feeling to know Marteria really personally. We were there by the birth of his son (“Gleich kommt Louis”), he succeeds by making you want to visit his home “Rostock” (what I will definitive do!), and it’s a pleasure to contemplate with him the real beauty of the world (“Welt der Wunder”). With his deep voice, his slow flow and his lyrics, I will compare Marteria with a movie-maker. Each song stimulates the imagination, carry a lot of emotions and everyone will feel affected at least with one song. It’s for me the best album of Marteria and even one of the best of the german-rap scene.
